During the summer season car ferries leave from Piombino to Portoferraio - main Elba Island town - almost hourly. There are also daily ferries to Cavo and Rio Marina. The shipping companies are (Toremar, Blu Navy, Corsica Ferries and Moby Lines).
The crossing from Piombino to Portoferraio takes one hour.
A hydrofoil service (no cars), which arrives only in Portoferraio and Cavo, takes 35 minutes.
We suggest our guests to get to Portoferraio habour.
In Portoferraio you first have to follow the indications 'tutte le direzioni', then 'Procchio' and then 'Marina di Campo' (18 km). As soon as you arrive at Marina di Campo, you will find on your left a petrol pump 'Agip'. Pay attention: after 70m you have to turn left (Hotel Barracuda) in the Viale Elba. Here is situated the Residence La Galatea.
If you go along this road, you will arrive at a crossroads. Follow the indication 'Hotel Montecristo'. After 80m., in front of the 'Hotel Montecristo', you will find the Villa Fantagalì.
